To keep pace with Ogden’s growth, we must intentionally expand our commercial tax base. Doing so will help reduce the tax burden on homeowners and allow us to reinvest in the assets that make Ogden a great place to live—like parks, historic landmarks, open space, and urban redevelopment.
I support creating a business-friendly environment that makes it easier for small businesses and entrepreneurs to succeed. By streamlining city processes and encouraging innovation, we can grow an economy that benefits everyone.
Using the tools available to cities, I’ll continue to advocate for fiscally responsible growth that strengthens our neighborhoods and supports core services. Ogden is becoming a hub for opportunity and innovation—and I believe we should keep our foot on the throttle to ensure that momentum continues.
Good governance is the backbone of being a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars. I believe in making Ogden’s services more adaptive, efficient, and transparent by improving access to data and strengthening public engagement. Restoring trust starts with education, communication, and a commitment to open decision-making.
By using tools like the five-year financial model and capital improvement plan, and aligning decisions with the Ogden City Strategic Plan, we can make data-driven choices that strengthen our city’s financial health and long-term sustainability.
Smart, forward-looking investments in streets, sidewalks, and water infrastructure will help us maintain aging systems and budget effectively for future needs. I remain committed to supporting our first responders and city employees and to ensuring the safety, quality of life, and security of every resident in our community.
I’m committed to making sure all Ogden residents live in safe, attractive neighborhoods with access to a range of broad-spectrum, quality, affordable housing options. I’ve pushed for policies that support housing choice, affordability, and accessibility, and I’ll continue to advocate for smart land use planning that connects people to services, transit, and jobs.
Ogden’s future depends on building all types of housing in the city, while continuing to revitalize our downtown into a vibrant, mixed-use center that reflects our historic character. Strategic growth will help stabilize neighborhoods, support all housing types, and keep property taxes in check—making Ogden a community of choice for years to come.
A strong city needs a strong workforce. I support building partnerships with local schools, training programs, and higher education institutions to create clear pathways from education to employment so that all residents have access to quality jobs and long-term careers.
A thriving workforce also depends on thoughtful growth. That means ensuring our community offers a balanced mix of housing, transportation, and open space so that residents can live near where they work, and businesses can attract and retain talent.
I will continue to support strategies that create opportunity for everyone, strengthen our economy, and make Ogden a place where individuals and families can build a secure future.
